Are you ready? It's time for summer flute choir! Patty will be hosting Thursday night flute choir, starting THIS WEEK, Thursday, May 11, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Thursday nights are come when you can, pay when you come. The cost is $20, paid directly to Patty. Included in that price? Invaluable sight-reading practice, the luxury of Patty's amazing flute choir music library, possibly some pretty awesome treats, and the unique fun of small (or maybe not so small) ensemble playing. Best of all, Patty gets to play, too. As her student for many years, I have to tell you - I learned so much just from listening to and playing with her. I know we all play together during our regular session, but there's something very special about sitting right next to her. Most of you probably know what an incredible musician she is, but I'll take a minute here to remind you how lucky we are to have her as our leader.
Here's what you need to do: each week, let Patty know if you're coming. You can do this by texting her (her mobile number is listed below). It's really important that she knows this information early in the day. You also need to bring a stand. And your flutes!
Generally, summer flute choir happens every Thursday night throughout the summer until the flute convention (this year it's August 10-13), with the possibility of additional weeks until our regular season begins with the adult school. All this is subject to change, depending on Patty's schedule, concerts, gigs, etc If a night ever needs to be canceled, you will be notified ahead of time.
